update on this goddamn minidisc deck...
worst mistake ever! i opened it up and the amount of
sheer grot was unfathomable. i have never seen
something so disgusting in my life. i should have taken pics,
because it literally looked like someone had cremated their pet cat in this thing.
managed to identify what might be wrong,
so printed out a circuit diagram for it and figured this page is the culprit.
specifically, the audio processor unit. god help me and my dust allergy..
will keep you posted on wherever this ends up going. i hope its recoverable!

currently working on the restoration of an MD player.
specifically, a sharp mdm3 microsystem.
it's mostly operational and can "play" tracks,
however it can't produce any audio through either speakers or a headphone jack.
what's weird is that the speakers do produce faint white noise when plugged in,
so hopefully its just some sort of loose connection.

managed to un-hardbrick a new 3ds i was asked to work on.
but sadly i caused the brick lmfaoo
the actual issue is a poor ribbon connection on the dpad.
its frustrating as parts keep getting more expensive.
i spend basically everything i make on that crap..
but anyways, to fix the brick i had to superglue some ribbons D:
which means its going to be a complete pain melting and reapplying it,
which took way too long to do already. pray for me
